Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff protected the ball brilliantly in recent weeks as he tallied 105 pass attempts without an interception from late September into the first quarter of Sunday's game at NRG Stadium in Houston. The Texans then quickly flipped the script on Goff's largely blemish-free season.
Houston tallied five (!) interceptions in Sunday's prime-time contest against the Lions on Sunday Night Football, a battle of first-place teams who both sport legitimate Super Bowl aspirations. A dose of history arrived for the Houston in the third quarter. Sunday's five interceptions are the most for the Texans in a single-game in franchise history, surpassing a quintet of four-interception games (most recently in November 2021).
