SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Scanning the field, Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler patiently waited for his primary targets to create separation.
It didn't take long for wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller to escape press coverage and haul in some long spirals from Osweiler during a joint practice Friday against the San Francisco 49ers.
With the exception of an overthrown pass by Osweiler for an interception and reserve quarterback Tom Savage being picked off and a botched center-quarterback exchange that angered coach Bill O'Brien as he ordered Savage and center Tony Bergstrom to take a penalty lap, it was a generally sharp day from the offense.
