Texans veteran middle linebacker Brian Cushing is a finalist for the Art Rooney NFL Sportsmanship award.
Cushing is also a nominee for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
The award recognizes on-field sportsmanship, respect for the game and opponents and integrity in competition. It was created in 2014 in honor of the late founding owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cushing is competing with DeMarcus Ware, Marshal Yanda, Julius Peppers, Greg Olsen, Joe Staley, Darren Sproles and Frank Gore.
The winner will be announced Feb. 4 in Houston the night before Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium at the NFL honors program.
