Now that the Texans are adapting to life without defensive end J.J. Watt due to a torn pectoral, they're manufacturing a pass rush in different ways.
On Sunday, that meant sending outside linebacker Brennan Scarlett on blitzes after Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew.
Scarlett delivered his best game of the season with two sacks and one forced fumble to tie a career-high. For the season, Scarlett has a career-high 3 1/2 sacks.
His forced fumble on Minshew on the final play of the game was recovered by inside linebacker Dylan Cole.
"Scar played a good game," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said.
