For three consecutive seasons, Texans coach Bill O'Brien has topped out at a 9-7 record.
Winners of consecutive AFC South division titles and preparing for an AFC wild-card playoff game Saturday against the Oakland Raiders, the Texans haven't made much progress offensively and rely heavily on the NFL's top-ranked defense.
O'Brien has emphasized repeatedly that he's not satisfied with simply having a winning record.
However, the Texans have been unable to do much more than dominate the AFC South division with a 5-1 mark in division games this season while dealing with quarterback problems throughout the O'Brien era.
