Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was ejected Sunday for his illegal hit to the head of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Al-Shaair will now be absent from Houston's defense until the calendar turns to 2025
The NFL handed Al-Shaair a three-game suspension Tuesday morning, which will keep Al-Shaair out of the lineup through Houston's Week 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day. Al-Shaair will be eligible to play in both the Texans' regular-season finale at the Tennessee Titans on Jan. 5 and any postseason contests, and he can appeal his suspension for a potential reduction in games.
