With his lymphoma in remission, Texans safety Andre Hal has returned to practice.
Although Hal remains on the non-football illness list, the Texans have 21 days to decide whether to activate him to the 53-man roster. They can activate him at any time.
"They were excited," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said of the team, which was informed Wednesday morning that Hal would be practicing. "Smart guy, tough guy."
Hal was diagnosed in the spring with nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma and has been on the non-football illness list. Hal said he had blurry vision while practicing and it was discovered he had lymphoma in his armpit and stomach.
