Texans' Andre Ellington pressed into service as wide receiver

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Texans' injury situation triggered an unexpected lineup change as running back Andre Ellington was forced to play wide receiver.

With Will Fuller, Braxton Miller and Bruce Ellington all sidelined, the former Arizona Cardinals starter consulted with quarterback Tom Savage before every snap on what route he was running.

Ellington had practiced occasionally at receiver with the Cardinals at slot receiver with Larry Fitzgerald coaching him up. This marked the first time he'd played receiver in a game, though.

Ellington managed well, though, as he caught five passes for 56 yards on six targets.
