The Texans haven't had loads of on-field success during their first 14 seasons.
But off the field, they seem to be doing quite well.
Forbes recently released its list of the world's most profitable sports franchises and Houston checked in the top 20 at No. 12.
According to Forbes' Mike Ozanian, the Texans had $115 in earnings for the 2014 and 2015 seasons before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and player transfers.
NFL franchises dominated the top 20, with five in the top 10 and seven of the top 20. The Dallas Cowboys were the most profitable team, with $270 million in earnings.
