Texans running back Alfred Blue returned to practice Wednesday from a high-ankle sprain suffered during a preseason practice against the New Orleans Saints.
Blue missed the Texans' first two games.
He's preparing to play Sunday against the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
Blue rushed for 420 yards last season, including a season-high 73 yards on 21 carries and a game-winning 24-yard touchdown run during a 12-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
In three NFL seasons, Blue has rushed for 1,646 yards and five touchdowns and caught 42 passes for 262 yards.
