Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye is signing his $1.671 million restricted free agent tender Monday, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.
The Texans discussed a long-term deal with Bouye before assigning him the right of first refusal tender. Bouye drew interest from other NFL teams, but didn't sign an offfer sheet.
Bouye is a tall, sizable corner at 6-foot, 191 pounds.
As the Texans' fourth cornerback, Bouye played in 15 games and started twice last season for the AFC South champions.
Bouye recorded 15 tackles, two interceptions and six passes defended last season.
