One of the hardest-hitting players in franchise history, retired linebacker Brian Cushing has rejoined the Texans as a member of the strength and conditioning staff.
The former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year will also help the Texans' defensive coaching staff.
Cushing was released by the Texans last year after playing nine seasons in Houston.
A former first-round draft pick from USC, Cushing was a Pro Bowl selection who served a 10-game suspension during the 2017 season for violating the NFL performance-enhancing drug policy last season. Cushing was suspended for four games in 2010 for violating the same policy.
