The Houston Texans suddenly need help at the running back position with rookie D’Onta Foreman out for the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
It looks like the Texans have already found his replacement by acquiring running back Andre Ellington off of waivers from the Arizona Cardinals.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media broke the news.
Former #AZCardinals RB Andre Ellington was claimed by the #Texans, source said. He’ll help immediately.

Ellington can actually help the Texans as a receiver out of the back field, which is something that Foreman wasn’t able to do.
