Texans veteran cornerback Aaron Colvin has missed five games due to an ankle injury.
Now, Colvin is primed to return for a Sunday game at Washington after practicing for the past few weeks.
The return of Colvin, who was signed to a four-year, $34 million contract in March to leave the Jacksonville Jaguars, should provide a boost to the NFL's ninth-ranked defense.

“Well, health-wise, I don’t think he’s totally back yet, but he’s back enough that we can put him out there and give him some reps and see what he can do," Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel said.
