The Texans had a short week, but looked as fresh as ever in the 24-17 win over the New York Jets. With direct snaps, Wildcat formations, and creative play-calling, Bill O’Brien’s game plan helped boost the Texans to their third-straight win of the 2015 season.
Houston’s offense was effective putting up 367 net yards through the air as well as on the ground. T.J. Yates, in his first start under O’Brien, was 16-of-34 for 229 yards and two touchdowns.
DeAndre Hopkins led the receivers with 118 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Cecil Shorts III, who took several direct snaps in the game, also threw a touchdown pass in the win.
