One of the most iconic uniforms in football history will not see the field in 2025.
The Tennessee Titans announced on Thursday that starting with the upcoming NFL season, the team plans to embrace "Titan blue" more than ever, as it's switching to light blue instead of navy for its primary home jersey this fall. Moreover, with the focus on "Titans blue" going forward, the Titans will not wear their throwback Oilers uniforms this upcoming season.
"We're talking to fans and we're listening, and there's a clear appetite to have the Titans, their team, represented on the field in this noticeable color that has been with this team from 1960 in Houston, into Memphis, at Vanderbilt and as we've played at Nissan Stadium," Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill said in a statement.
