On Dec. 7, 2008, the Texans defeated the Green Bay Packers 24-21 in their first trip to Lambeau Field. With the temperature hovering at 3 degrees at kickoff and a below-zero wind chill, it remains the coldest game in franchise history.
In the Week 14 matchup, started at left tackle and blocked for an offense that put up 549 total net yards of offense, the second-highest single-game total in franchise history. Current defensive line coach Anthony Weaver started at left defensive end and recorded three solo tackles.
The win wasn’t without its share of drama though, with two Houston turnovers in the fourth quarter including a muffed punt that Green Bay returned to nearly mid-field.
