The Houston Texans have announced that former inside linebacker and 2009 first round draft choice Brian Cushing was hired to take a job within the team’s strength and conditioning staff. Cushing played with the Texans for nine seasons and finished his NFL career with 664 combined tackles, 13.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles, eight interceptions.
Cushing had plenty of accolades in his NFL career; he currently holds the Texans franchise record as the all team leading tackler, the 2009 Associated Press NFL Rookie of the Year Award, 2009 Pro Bowler, and second-team All-Pro in 2009 and 2011.
