Everyone hates the Patriots. D@mn near everyone hates Eagles fans. Unfortunately, a meteor has thus far spared Minneapolis, so we’re going to be watching some commercials, some talking heads, some putrid halftime performance, and a wee bit of football tonight.
The night after winning the MVP Award for his work this season, Tom Brady prepares to play in his eighth Super Bowl, fully expected to win his sixth ring. Despite the abject loathing the Patriots inspire among AFC fanbases and those who don’t have a dog in the fight, you can’t deny this is a franchise that’s managed to develop a dynasty in the free agency and salary cap eras, when dynasties like the Steelers of the 70s, 49ers of the 80s, and Cowboys of the early 90s were supposed to be things of the past.
