INDIANAPOLIS – University of Texas running back D'Onta Foreman found out Friday at the combine that he has a small stress fracture in his left foot and that the NFL wouldn't allow him to participate in the drills.

Foreman, who weighed 233 when he arrived at the combine, was so determined to run the 40-yard dash and perform the individual drills that he offered to sign a waiver, but the league declined.

Foreman will be able to work out for coaches and scouts at the Longhorns' pro day March 28.

As a junior last season, Foreman set a school record by rushing for 2,028 yards.
