Stefon Diggs is accustomed to being followed by the NFL's top defensive backs on a weekly basis. After just a short time with the Houston Texans, Diggs appears quite impressed by a DB on his own team.
"I actually think [cornerback Derek Stingley Jr.]—and I won’t even shake when I say this—I think he’s one of the best DBs in the league, especially from a talent level," Diggs told the media following Houston's training camp practice Monday morning. "He can run, he can break and compete at a high level."
Diggs added he views challenging Stingley in practice as one of his main prerogatives during the preseason, taking an iron-sharpens-iron mentality of sorts in preparation for the 2024 campaign.
