HOUSTON -- Quarterback C.J. Stroud will keep one of his reliable weapons in 2024.
The Houston Texans and tight end Dalton Schultz have agreed to a three-year, $36 million contract, with $23.5 million fully guaranteed, a source confirmed to ESPN.
Schultz was scheduled to become a free agent next week.
Schultz spent five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before signing with the Texans last year.
After landing in Houston, Schultz had his second-highest receiving yards for a season (635). His most noteworthy output came in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when he had 10 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown, his lone 100-yard performance of the season.
