Source: Texans RT Tytus Howard has partial MCL tear

HOUSTON -- Tests showed that Houston Texans right tackle Tytus Howard has a partially torn MCL in his left knee, a source confirmed to ESPN.

The Houston Chronicle first reported the news. Howard was carted off the field in the third quarter on Sunday in the Texans' victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. After the game, head coach Bill O'Brien said he was told Howard's injury looked worse than it was, and that Houston is hopeful the right tackle can play again for them this season.
