The Houston Texans released cornerback Aaron Colvin on Tuesday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, one day after the veteran struggled in a 30-28 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Colvin was in the second year of a four-year, $34 million contract he signed with Houston. That included $18 million guaranteed. He's still owed the $7.5 million guaranteed to him this season.
Colvin allowed a pair of touchdown passes in the second half of Monday's season-opening loss to the Saints.
Prior to joining the Texans in 2018, Colvin spent four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
