Ever since the Dallas Cowboys were booted from the playoffs by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, some Cowboys fans have been complaining about a costly first quarter penalty.
Trailing 7-3, the Cowboys were driving to take the lead when Terrance Williams caught a 22-yard pass that would have set up Dallas at the Green Bay 15. Instead, a flag was thrown and the Cowboys were called for unsportsmanlike conduct for having a player join the huddle, then leave the field without participating in a snap. The penalty pushed the Cowboys back 15 yards and they eventually were forced to punt.
