Mario Williams, the Texans’ No. 1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, is selling his Houston mansion in the heart of Memorial with a listing price of $8.45 million, according to luxury realtor Krista McGowen of NextGen Real Estate.
The home was built in 2006, the same year Williams purchased it for about $1.5 million shortly after signing his first NFL contract worth $54 million over six years.

The gated home, built on 1 ½ acres, is located in Sherwood Forest, about a mile west of Memorial Park and as the listing says, “barely a 40-yard dash from Memorial Drive.
