San Jose State running back Tyler Ervin visited the Texans, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.
Ervin is regarded as a versatile back and a second-round to third-round draft target.
The Texans also brought in Notre Dame running back C.J. Prosise and Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon for visits.
Ervin also visited the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders.
The Patriots and Packers have displayed steady interest in Ervin.
Ervin has talked with every team throughout the Senior Bowl and NFL scouting combine process.
