Quite a formidable duo is forming for Houston's XFL team.
For the second straight week, wide receiver Cam Phillips caught three touchdown passes from quarterback P.J. Walker en route to a Roughnecks win, this time a 34-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Vipers at Raymond James Stadium.
Houston is 3-0 on the inaugural season.
Walker hit Phillips for an 84-yard touchdown to give the Roughnecks their first lead of the game after a three-point conversion, 9-3. Walker would add an 8-yard rushing touchdown before capping the game's scoring with 24 and 17-yard passes to Phillips to seal the game, the latter the receiver's seventh touchdown of the young season.
