On Monday, Texans executive VP Rick Smith says expects to keep his title and his tenure in Houston is not over, despite the fact that he’s decided to step away from the team to take care of his wife, Tiffany, who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“My tenure is not over,” Smith said, per John McClain. “It’s a comma, not a period. I made a difficult decision with my wife. Family is the most important thing.”
“This has been very difficult on my family,” Smith explained, per McClain.
