The Texans have already made it clear that Tom Savage is their starting quarterback heading into the upcoming season
Now that Houston traded up in the first round of this year’s NFL draft to take quarterback Deshaun Watson, things might change.
Texans’ general manager Rick Smith did admit during a radio interview on Thursday that Watson will have a chance to start.
From ESPN.com:
“We want to provide a competitive environment across the board. So [Watson will] compete,” Smith said Thursday on the Stephen A. Smith Show on ESPN Radio.
