Report: Texans were determined to get rid of Brock Osweiler after week 17 altercation

It was quite a shock this past week when the Houston Texans traded away quarterback Brock Osweiler to the Cleveland Browns.

It turns out that an altercation during the Texans’ week 17 loss to the Tennessee Titans in which Tom Savage started at quarterback, but Osweiler was forced into action after Savage went down with a concussion.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has the details on what happened when Savage found out he wouldn’t be able to finish the game and Osweiler was informed he would have to play.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Savage became very upset, knocking things around in the locker room and otherwise making a ruckus about having his status jeopardized by a doctor’s decision to keep him from playing.
