Texans wide receiver Keith Mumphery has been expelled from Michigan State and banned from campus, punishment that stems from a violation of the school's relationship violence and sexual misconduct policy, according to a report from The Detroit Free Press.
The newspaper report cited Michigan State police documents obtained by a Freedom of Information Act request.
Mumphery, 24, allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in her dorm room in March of 2015, prior to being drafted in the fifth round by the Texans that May.
He wasn't charged with a crime, following the case being forwarded by campus police with a recommendation of third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges, after a prosecutor determined that the case couldn't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt and the accuser
According to a campus police report cited by the newspaper, Mumphery met the woman on an online dating site.
