Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Houston Texans are releasing veteran offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom.
The 30 year-old Bergstrom signed a two-year, $5.75 million contract with the Texans just last year.
Bergstrom was drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Oakland Raiders and didn’t play much last season for the Texans.
Bergstrom was brought in to back up center Nick Martin but didn’t perform well enough take over when Martin went down with an injury.
Instead the Texans went with Greg Mancz as their fill-in at center for Martin.
