FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- At about 1:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, a group of almost 20 reporters gathered around a speakerphone in the New England Patriots' media workroom. Vince Wilfork was on the other line, calling from Houston.
This isn't the way it usually goes on the weekly opponents' conference call. Then again, there haven't been too many situations like this, a longtime Patriots stalwart (2004-2014) and seven-time captain preparing to play his first game against the franchise he still holds dear to his heart.
"I don't know how I will feel Sunday once it hits," he said.
