While everyone is shining the spotlight on the Houston Texans’ first round draft pick, an equally important piece of the offense has changed significantly since the draft as well. As the old adage goes, a young quarterback’s best friend is a solid run game.
With the third pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans selected D’Onta Foreman, running back from the University of Texas. Foreman racked up 2028 yards on 323 attempts in 2016 at UT for a whopping 6.3 yard average. He’s deceptively shifty for a guy with his mass – a true one-cut back that Houston has been missing since the heyday of Arian Foster.
