Ah, the halcyon days of 2014. Your Houston Texans were coming off a disastrous 2013 campaign, a two-win season so wretched that they “won” the first overall pick of the 2014 NFl Draft. Houston had just replaced Gary Kubiak (and Wade Phillips) with Bill O’Brien as head coach.
Obviously, a lot—three winning seasons, two division titles, and a playoff win among them—has happened since then. With the benefit of three years’ worth of actual NFL film, we can now examine how the Texans’ 2014 draft class panned out with some degree of intelligence.
