The Dallas police department reversed course Friday night, announcing it will investigate a domestic violence complaint against troubled Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel.
On Thursday, Fort Worth and Dallas law enforcement officials announced they wouldn't file charges against the former Texas A&M star and considered the case closed. Colleen Crowley, Manziel's former girlfriend, alleged that the NFL player hit her several times, including a blow to her left ear during an ugly altercation that started in Dallas and ended at her apartment in Fort Worth near the Texas Christian campus.
Crowley, a Houston native, model and TCU student, told police that Manziel behaved as if he was on drugs.
