Pitt running back James Conner is visiting the Texans on Wednesday, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
Conner overcame stage 2, Hodgkin's lymphoma to return to play, winning the Disney Spirit award and the Brian Piccolo award.
Conner's scans have been clean this year, confirming he remains cancer-free.
He rushed for 1,092 yards and 16 touchdowns last season.
"I ask the coaches, 'What do you guys want in a running back?'" Conner said at the NFL scouting combine. "They want a tough guy. My mental toughness and my physical toughness, I feel, is second to none.
