Piece of metal falls onto AT&T Stadium turf before Texans-Cowboys MNF game

The Houston Texans are playing in some not-so-friendly confines Monday night in a road contest at the Dallas Cowboys. The roof at AT&T Stadium added an unusual degree of danger to the pregame festivities.

Dallas opted to open its retractable roof for the first time since 2022 for the nationally-televised bout, but the move nearly turned disastrous as a piece of sheet metal fell and landed on the turf. No injuries were reported in Arlington. Considering the size of the metal and the height of the fall, Monday night is already something of a disaster averted for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
