Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg has no hard feelings toward ex-coach

INDIANAPOLIS – Much was made of quarterback Christian Hackenberg's farewell speech at Penn State when he announced he was leaving after his junior year and entering the NFL draft.

Among those he thanked was his freshman coach, Bill O'Brien.

Among those he didn't thank was his sophomore and junior coach, James Franklin.

Hackenberg explained Franklin's omission at the combine.

"It was one of those times where it was really emotional," he said. "I didn't have anything written out. What came to mind were the people who had spent a lot of time with me, the people who had brought me to Penn State.
