INDIANAPOLIS – Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg failed to take advantage of his opportunity to throw for scouts today at the combine.
Hackenberg, who had accuracy issues during his last two seasons at Penn State, had problems putting the ball where it was supposed to go in Lucas Oil Stadium.
Rob Rang, senior draft analyst for NFLDraftScout.com, gave Hackenberg a C-plus grade.
"I thought his performance was basically like a microcosm of his entire career," Rang said. "You see some incredible throws, but you also see a large amount of inconsistency, usually with his footwork. He doesn't step into his throws, just uses his arm.
