The civil lawsuits against Deshaun Watson accusing him of sexual assault and harassment during massage sessions are down to 21 after one woman dropped her lawsuit Wednesday, citing privacy and security concerns.
The original 22 lawsuits were filed without naming the women – although two came forward with their name – but last week two Harris County judges ruled in separate hearings that Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the women, must make the names of several of the accusers public.
Buzbee’s argument for keeping the women anonymous involved Ashley Solis, the first woman to make her name public, and the threats she received on social media after she spoke out at a press conference.
