HOUSTON -- A day after a blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Bill O'Brien was asked whether he would chose to leave the Houston Texans after this season.
He replied emphatically, "I will never quit as the head football coach of the Houston Texans. Ever."
"I'll never resign as the head football coach of the Houston Texans."
O'Brien has one season remaining on the five-year contract he signed when he became the Texans head coach in 2014. It is unlikely the team would allow him to coach next season without signing him to a contract extension in the offseason.
