NRG Stadium roof won't be fully fixed for Texans' home opener

Hurricane Beryl left a wake of flooding and damage across Houston and the surrounding area early last month. One of the largest buildings in Houston has still yet to fully recover.

The Houston Texans and the management of NRG Park are presently working to fix two roof panels that were damaged by Beryl. The missing panels caused a glaring slice of sun inside NRG Stadium during Houston's home preseason opener against the New York Giants, though the issue shouldn't be a problem during the regular season. Per a release from NRG Park on Thursday, one roof panel should be fixed prior to the Texans’ home opener against the Chicago Bears on Sept.
