Luckily it's not football season yet, because the home of the Houston Texans is in need of repairs.
Hurricane Beryl made landfall early Monday morning, blasting sustained winds up to 80 mph. The storm was downgraded from a category 1 hurricane to a tropical storm as it moved through Houston, but the damage has left more than 2 million residents without power, while flooding a handful of Houston's major roads. The impact wasn't limited to residents and highways, as photos surfaced of an apparent gaping hole in the roof of NRG Stadium.
Ryan Walsh, CEO and Executive Director of Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation and NRG Park, acknowledged the damage in a statement released Tuesday afternoon.
