When Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans is asked what makes wide receiver Nico Collins and quarterback C.J. Stroud's connection so special, he's blunt with the answer.
"You don't like this answer, but it's simple: Nico is open," Ryans said.
It's not a statement that anyone can question after Collins caught 12 passes on 15 targets for 151 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. It marked Collins' third game of the year with over 100 receiving yards, and elevated the 25-year-old to a special place in Texans franchise history.
