C.J. Stroud was saddled with difficulties Sunday as a slew of penalties hindered the Houston Texans’ offense. Stroud’s late-game brilliance still saved the day.
Houston’s second-year quarterback tallied 345 passing yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s 24-20 Week 4 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Stroud saved his best football for the game’s final minutes. Stroud and the Texans regained possession down 20-17 with just over two minutes remaining in regulation, and the 22-year-old calmly directed a 69-yard touchdown drive across eight plays.
The Texans' offense struggled in Week 2’s home opener.
