After emerging as the NFL's surprise team of 2023, nobody's sleeping on the Houston Texans heading into upcoming season—and it appears the franchise's bright outlook extends beyond 2024.
ESPN recently released its 2024 NFL Future Power Rankings, with Dan Graziano, Louis Riddick and Aaron Schatz analyzing the expectations for all 32 teams over the next three seasons by looking at the following factors: quarterback (20 percent), non-QB roster makeup (30 percent), front office (25 percent) and coaching staff (25 percent). The panel of experts graded each area on the following scale, before compiling the different categories to compute a team's overall score:
- 100: A+ (elite)
- 90: A (great)
- 80: B (very good)
- 70: C (average)
- 60: D (very bad)
- 50 and below: F (disastrous)
Texans fans will be pleased with the results—especially considering the dismal state the franchise was in following 2022, coming off its third-straight season of four wins or less.
