ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported, and the NFLPA has released a statement that the owners and players have reached an agreement for a new deal that will last the next 10 years. The new deal includes a 17-game regular season (also one less preseason game), an expanded salary cap (near $200 million per team), and it also includes an expanded playoff format, according to the following Tweet by Schefter on Sunday morning:
The NFLPA also released a statement on Sunday morning via Twitter saying the vote was 1,019 to 959 in favor of the new CBA agreement.
