The NFL and police blotters have gone hand-in-hand over the years, with arrests of players, coaches and even owners generating negative headlines for the country's most popular sports league.
But in September, the NFL enjoyed a rarity it hasn't seen in quite some time: An arrest-free month.
Mike Rosenberg of Reuters reported Friday it was the first time in more than six years that an NFL player arrest wasn't reported.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has been known for his law-and-order stance and heavy-handed discipline handed out over the years.
As for the Texans, they've been among the league leaders in fewest arrests, with just one over the past five years.
